Banana Oats Pancakes

The health benefits of oats and bananas are combined with the flavour of maple syrup to make these delicious pancakes. These melt-in-mouth pancakes packed with nutritious goodness will be a great hit with kids as well as adults in your family.

  1. 2 ripe bananas
  2. 1 egg
  3. 1/2 cup oats
  4. 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  5. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  6. 1 teaspoon chopped pecans or any nuts of your choice
  7. 1 tablespoon oil


  1. Put the peeled bananas, egg, oats, vanilla essence and maple syrup in a blender. Blend for about 1 minute to make a smooth batter.
  2. Take the batter out in a bowl.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan with a dash of oil. Pour 2 tablespoons of the batter into the pan, cook on one side for about 1 minute, then turn and cook on the other side for another minute or until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup, chopped pecans and fresh fruit of your choice.
