No-Bake Cake Pops

Heavenly delicious and cute bite-sized cakes that can be prepared in less than 20 minutes without an oven. Soft and spongy cake poppers with chocolate oozing out in every bite.

Ingredients

  1. Ingredients for Cake Pops :
  2. 1/2 cup plain flour
  3. 11/2 tablespoons sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  5. 1 egg
  6. 11/2 teaspoons melted butter
  7. 1/2 cup milk
  8. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  9. 1/2 cup Nutella or any other milk chocolate spread
  10. Ingredients for Garnishing :
  11. 6 almonds (cut vertically into halves)
  12. 2 tablespoons milk chocolate chips
  13. 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips

Method

  1. Separate the egg white from the yolk and keep them in 2 separate bowls.
  2. Add all the wet ingredients (melted butter, milk, vanilla essence) to the egg yolk and mix well. Keep it aside.
  3. Combine the plain flour, sugar and baking powder in a large bowl. Mix well and keep aside.
  4. Whisk the egg white till it looks fluffy & creamy. Keep aside.
  5. Combine the wet ingredients ((melted butter, milk, vanilla essence) with the dry ingredients (flour, sugar and baking powder and mix till combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Add the whisked egg white to the batter and fold it gently into the mixture until combined.
  7. Heat an appam or cake/pancake pop pan. Brush oil into each groove of the pan and keep it on medium heat.
  8. Spoon the cake mixture into each groove filling it slightly less than half.
  9. Add 3/4 teaspoon Nutella to each groove and cover it completely with cake batter so that each groove is full of batter.
  10. Reduce the heat to low and cook till golden brown from from the bottom side. Brush little oil on the top of each cake popper and flip it over. Cook till golden brown from both sides and a toothpick inserted comes out without cake batter on it.
  11. You can serve them warm at this point if you do not have time to garnish or can't wait to dig into them.

  13. Store them in a muffin box or any large air-tight container.
