Pav-Bhaji Sandwich

Delicious sandwich prepared from leftover pav-bhaji! This sandwich makes a quick lunch-box dish that is quick to prepare & easy to pack.

  1. Ingredients for the filling:
  2. 1 cup bhaji (Click herefor bhaji recipe)
  3. 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
  4. 1/2 cup grated cheese
  5. 1/2 teaspoon pav bhaji masala
  6. Other Ingredients:
  7. 4 pav
  8. 1 teaspoon butter


  1. Slit the pav horizontally to cut them into 2 parts like burger buns.
  2. Apply little butter on both sides of each pav and place it on a pre-heated flat pan. Toast slightly on both sides and take them out in a serving dish.
  3. Spread the bhaji generously on one part (base) of each pav.
  4. Sprinkle grated cheese and chopped onions on top of bhaji. Cover with the other half of each pav to make a sandwich.
  5. Sprinkle some grated cheese on top of each sandwich. Sprinkle little pav bhaji masala on grated cheese.
  6. Serve hot with masala chai.
