Rich and indulgent handmade chocolate balls that can grace any occasion and bring a smile on everyone’s face. Insanely easy yet delicious, these chocolate truffles are a perfect sweet treat for any occasion!
| Time: 20 minutes + 2 hours for refrigeration
Serves: Makes 12-15
100g milk chocolate, roughly chopped
100g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), roughly chopped
4 tablespoons icing sugar or powdered sugar
1/2 cup double cream
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Ingredients for rolling the truffles:
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon edible gold glitter
1/4 teaspoon edible silver glitter
1 tablespoon finely chopped pistachios
1 tablespoon cake decoration balls -red
Place the chopped dark & milk chocolate in a large bowl & keep aside.
Take the cream in a microwavable bowl and heat it in the microwave for 1 minute stirring it once after 30 seconds.
Pour the cream over the chocolate. Add vanilla essence and stir well until smooth. Microwave the mixture for another 10-20 seconds if some of the chocolate pieces are left behind after stirring.
The truffle mixture is ready. Refrigerate it for 2-3 hours.
Take cocoa powder in a plate and spread it on the plate.
Scoop out almost equal portions of truffle mixture using a tablespoon and place them on the cocoa powder.
Apply cocoa powder on your palms and quickly roll each portion into a ball.
Coat some balls in chopped pistachio, some balls in red cake decoration and apply gold & silver glitter to some balls with the help of a brush. Coat the remaining balls in cocoa powder.
Homemade chocolate truffles are ready. Keep refrigerated.
roll the chocolate truffles in chocolate curls or sprinkles, coarsely ground almonds or any other topping of your choice. While rolling out the truffle balls make sure you roll them pretty quickly as they start getting melted by the heat of the hands.
Please make sure, you use a good quality chocolate. The better the quality of chocolate, the better will be the taste of the truffles.
