Iced Green Tea with Lemon

Fragrant & refreshing drink with a kick of ginger. A delicious and classy way of having green tea which is well-known for its health benefits.

Ingredients

  1. 3 cups water
  2. 1 teaspoon green tea leaves (use 2 tea bags if loose tea is not available)
  3. 2 tablespoons lemon juice + 2 lemon slices
  4. 1 teaspoon freshly ground ginger
  5. 8-10 mint leaves (freshly ground) + 2 mint sprigs
  6. 2 teaspoons honey or to taste
  7. 8-10 ice cubes

Method

  1. Heat water in a saucepan and add the freshly ground ginger. Bring to a boil. Once the water starts boiling, turn off the heat and add the tea leaves. Cover the pot and let it brew for 15 minutes.
  2. Strain the brewed green tea and add honey. Mix well and let it cool to room temperature.
  3. Once cooled, add the lemon juice, freshly ground mint leaves and ice-cubes. Mix well.
  4. Add a lemon slice and a mint sprig into each glass along with some ice cubes. Pour the tea into the glasses and serve.
