Pizza Toast

Vibrant, delicious and easy to prepare pizza toast or pizza-cum-toast that is healthier and quicker to prepare than an authentic pizza.

Time: 10 minutes

  1. Ingredients for Topping:
  2. 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
  3. 2 tablespoons finely chopped red pepper/capsicum
  4. 2 tablespoons finely chopped green pepper/capsicum
  5. 2 tablespoons sweet corn
  6. 1 teaspoon finely chopped green chillies
  7. 1/2 cup grated cheese
  8. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  9. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Other Ingredients:
  12. 6 bread slices
  13. 1 tablespoon oil


  1. Combine all the ingredients for topping in a bowl. Mix well and keep aside.
  2. Heat a flat non-stick pan and grease it with oil. Place 1-2 bread slices on it depending upon the size of the pan. Let the bread slices turn light brown and crispy from one side. Flip them over using a spatula and reduce the heat to low.
  3. Spread the prepared topping generously on the toasts. Sprinkle some grated cheese. Cover the pan for about a minute or till the cheese gets melted.
  4. Repeat the same process for the remaining bread slices.
  5. Serve hot.
